The Mishkati Foundation for Development plays an increasingly significant international role through its cooperation with United Nations organizations, foremost among them the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

In November 2021, the foundation signed an official cooperation protocol with IOM, and together they organized a joint event in May 2022 addressing the issue of irregular migration to and from Egypt.

The foundation is also working to align its future projects with the goals of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and its affiliated bodies, through initiatives in the fields of human rights, education, environment, and mental health.

Mishkati also seeks to participate in upcoming UN events such as the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) and the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) — strengthening its international presence as an Egyptian civil society organization contributing to global policies against poverty and inequality.

Dr. Hanan Moneib participated in the side event held on the sidelines of the International Human Rights Council meeting in Geneva on June 30, 2025, organized by the Arab Council for Human Rights Foundation, under the title “The Situation of Refugees in Egypt.”
