 Future Projects – Mushkati Foundation (2025–2026)

Mushkati Foundation plans to implement a comprehensive set of development projects targeting women and marginalized groups in rural and urban areas. These projects directly contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and support the work of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), especially in economic empowerment, human rights, mental health, education, environment, and adequate housing.


1. Rural Women Empowerment through Vocational and Craft Training

  • Timeline: September – December 2025

  • Location: Fayoum, Beni Suef, Sohag

  • Expected Results: Train 300 women heads of households in sewing, home food production, and poultry farming to enhance employment opportunities and reduce poverty.

  • Contribution to ECOSOC: Supports economic empowerment, SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 8 (Decent Work).

2. “Protect Your Future” Awareness Initiative

  • Timeline: July – August 2025

  • Location: Villages and centers in Beheira and Kafr El-Sheikh

  • Expected Results: Raise awareness among 1,000 youth about the risks of irregular migration and human trafficking through interactive workshops.

  • Contribution to ECOSOC: Supports international efforts against human trafficking and irregular migration, SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities).

3. “Roof & Cover… Shelter & Warmth” Housing Project

  • Timeline: November 2025 – February 2026

  • Location: Informal settlements in Greater Cairo (Imbaba, Ezbet El-Nakhl, El-Salam)

  • Expected Results: Renovate roofs, provide thermal insulation and winter covers for 200 families to improve housing conditions.

  • Contribution to ECOSOC: Enhances the right to adequate housing and supports social dimensions of sustainable development.

4. “Proud Providers” Women’s Rights Awareness

  • Timeline: October – December 2025

  • Location: Suburbs of Giza, Minya, Assiut

  • Expected Results: Train 200 women on legal rights and access to social and legal support; establish women’s support networks.

  • Contribution to ECOSOC: Promotes legal awareness for women, SDG 5 (Gender Equality).

5. “Unlimited Creativity” Inclusion of People with Disabilities in Arts and Culture

  • Timeline: March – May 2026

  • Location: Cairo and Alexandria

  • Expected Results: Engage 100 young people with disabilities in festivals and creative workshops to foster social inclusion and challenge stereotypes.

  • Contribution to ECOSOC: Supports cultural rights and inclusion in line with the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

6. Training Program: “Using International Treaties to Defend Human Rights in Local Courts”

  • Timeline: January – March 2026

  • Location: Cairo (in collaboration with the Bar Association)

  • Expected Results: Train 100 young lawyers to apply international treaties (e.g., CEDAW, ICCPR) in local courts.

  • Contribution to ECOSOC: Links international mechanisms to local legal practice, promoting the rule of law.

7. Rural Girls Education and Skills Development

  • Timeline: January – December 2026

  • Location: Villages in Upper Egypt (Minya, Assiut, Qena)

  • Expected Results: Provide non-formal and vocational education to at least 200 rural girls; develop literacy skills for 90%; train 150 girls in crafts and life skills.

  • Contribution to ECOSOC: Supports equitable education and girls’ empowerment, SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5, SDG 10.

8. Mobile Mental Health Clinics for Marginalized Communities

  • Timeline: March 2025 – March 2026

  • Location: Remote villages and poor urban areas in Upper Egypt

  • Expected Results: Offer free psychological support to over 3,000 individuals; conduct awareness campaigns to reduce stigma around mental health.

  • Contribution to ECOSOC: Supports the right to mental health, SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being).

9. Renewable Energy for Sustainable Villages

  • Timeline: June 2025 – June 2026

  • Location: Villages in North Sinai, Matrouh, and New Valley

  • Expected Results: Install solar energy systems for 500 homes and public facilities; train local technicians.

  • Contribution to ECOSOC: Promotes clean energy and climate action, SDG 7 (Affordable & Clean Energy), SDG 13 (Climate Action).

10. Non-Formal Education and Skills Development for Out-of-School Children

  • Timeline: February 2025 – January 2026

  • Location: Informal settlements in Giza and Minya

  • Expected Results: Provide basic education for 250 children; train 100 children in vocational skills.

  • Contribution to ECOSOC: Addresses education gaps, reduces poverty, SDG 4.

11. Organic Waste Recycling for Natural Fertilizer Production

  • Timeline: May 2025 – April 2026

  • Location: Agricultural villages and centers in the Delta and Upper Egypt

  • Expected Results: Collect and process organic waste in 10 villages; produce high-quality organic fertilizer; engage local communities in waste segregation.

  • Contribution to ECOSOC: Supports environmental sustainability, SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption), SDG 15 (Life on Land).
