About Meshkaty Foundation

Meshkaty for Development is a non-profit organization registered with the Ministry of Social Solidarity under No. 11077 for the year 2020. Its headquarters is located at Vodafone Square, Tyba Grand Mall, First Floor, 6th of October City, Giza, Egypt.

Meshkaty for Development is one of the leading civil society organizations in Egypt in the fields of culture, science, intellectual thought, arts, and education. The foundation aims to achieve comprehensive human, cultural, scientific, and artistic development by promoting the role of culture and literature and fostering dialogue among different civilizations and cultures.

The foundation is managed by a Board of Trustees composed of experts from various disciplines, formed according to the organization’s statutes. Dr. Hanan Mounib, the founder, serves as the Chairperson of the Board.

The mission of Meshkaty Foundation is to contribute to comprehensive social development by developing human resources and enhancing the rights of vulnerable groups through educational, training, cultural, and developmental programs. The foundation’s key objectives include:


1. Translation and Dialogue Between Cultures and Civilizations

  • Supporting specialized translation to enhance intercultural understanding.

  • Organizing events that promote dialogue between civilizations and exchange of expertise.

  • Encouraging joint cultural production among authors and translators in Arabic and foreign languages.

  • Supporting the publishing industry, both print and digital.

2. Women Empowerment

  • Enhancing women’s participation culturally, scientifically, intellectually, and politically.

  • Combating all forms of violence against women, including early and forced marriage and female genital mutilation.

  • Raising awareness and empowering women to participate fully in public life and the workforce.

3. Support for Persons with Disabilities

  • Providing academic, cultural, and professional training for persons with disabilities.

  • Offering programs that enable effective integration into society and the labor market.

4. Youth Empowerment

  • Training newly graduated youth in languages, vocational, and craft skills for employment.

  • Strengthening youth participation politically, scientifically, artistically, and culturally.

  • Combating irregular migration and human trafficking through awareness campaigns and development programs.

  • Raising medical and social awareness for couples preparing for marriage.

5. Tourism Promotion

  • Supporting therapeutic, health, and medical tourism.

  • Organizing international scientific and cultural conferences.

6. General Social and Developmental Goals

  • Literacy programs.

  • Care for children, families, the elderly, and persons with special needs.

  • Providing support and care for orphaned children.

  • Organizing medical and charitable convoys, mobile libraries, and pharmacies for the poorest villages.

  • Supporting small family businesses and encouraging local industries through exhibitions.

  • Promoting culture and science via scientific journals and diverse literary and artistic activities.

  • Organizing workshops and training courses in modern management and human development.
